Concord Police Say A Minor Dies In An Accidental Shooting

CONCORD, N.C. –Officers with the Concord Police Department say a young boy died after a man accidentally discharged his gun inside a home around 2 a.m. Friday, October 30th.

Police responded to the shooting on Ramsgate Drive in Concord to find the young boy suffering from a gunshot wound, according to a news release.

Investigators say the man who shot the boy is a resident of the home and the gun owner, and he is cooperating with detectives.

Concord Police officers say they are interviewing others that were inside the home at the time of the incident, and are not currently looking for any other suspects.
