GASTONIA, N.C. — One woman is facing assault charges after tempers flared at a children’s soccer match in Gastonia. Investigators say Wendy Shaw assaulted Malanie Addis.
Cops say Addis felt like the coach hadn’t played all the players. Once confronted, Shaw allegedly punched Addis.
She was released from custody after signing a written promise to appear in court.
