BETHLEHEM, N.C. — Police say two teens were arrested for breaking into a church in Alexander County. The pastor of Promise Land Ministries told police that someone broke a window and stole all the offering money from the previous Sunday.
Officers found footprints in the mud outside the church and tracked them to a nearby home. Officers say 18-year-old Corey Hill was at the home and had mud on his pants and shoes. Investigators determined 17-year-old George Whitener was also involved in the break-in.
Both teens are facing breaking and entering and larceny charges.
