DENVER, N.C. — Deputies with the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office say 41-year-old David Sherrill died in a mobile home fire on November 27th.
Firefighters say they responded to a structure fire around 3 a.m. on Water Oaks Drive to find a single wide rental mobile home in flames.
Firefighters with the East Lincoln and Denver Fire Departments say they were able to put out the fire, but during a search they found the body of Sherrill in a bedroom of the home.
Sherrill was the only occupant of the mobile home, according to a news release.
Police say the cause of the fire is still under investigation, and no foul play is suspected.
