Four Teenagers Charged With Murder In Fatal East Charlotte Shooting

CMPD detectives say 19-year-old Marques Fleming has been additionally charged in the murder of Ricardo Perez.
Detectives say Fleming is charged with murder, robbery with a dangerous weapon, and conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon.

Charlotte-Mecklenburg police say that three teenagers have been charged for the murder of a 46-year-old man who was fatally shot in east Charlotte Monday night.
The arrest of the three suspects came after officers identified the vehicle involved in the homicide case of Ricardo Perez which was spotted on Wednesday. Officers then attempted to stop the vehicle but the driver refused and a pursuit began.
After the car chase, 18-year-old Azaevon Singleton was taken into custody. Detectives then gathered additional which resulted in the arrest of two 18-year-olds on Palm Breeze Lane, off of Brookshire Boulevard, identified as Sedrick Sanders and Keon McMillan.
After all three suspects were interviewed by detectives they each were transferred to the custody of the Mecklenburg County Sheriff’s Office and charged with murder, robbery with a dangerous weapon and conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon, police say.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Detectives with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department are investigating a deadly shooting in east Charlotte.
The shooting reportedly happened shortly before 9pm on Electra Lane on November 30th. The victim in the case was transported to Atrium Health in Uptown Charlotte where he died from his injuries a few hours later, according to a news release.
No arrests have been made at this time. Police are asking anyone with information on this shooting to call Crime Stoppers at 704-334-1600.
This is the 109th homicide of the year in Charlotte. Last year, there were a total of 103 homicides.
