8 Panthers Players Test Positive For COVID; Will The NFL Season End Early?
CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Eight Carolina Panthers players, including five starters, have been placed on the reserve COVID-19 list. Two of Carolina’s top receivers, DJ Moore and Curtis Samuel are among those added to the list, as well as starting linebacker Shaq Thompson. As a result of those tests, the Panthers facilities are closed until Wednesday.
Head Coach Matt Rhule talked to reporters on Monday and says he’s looking ahead to Sunday. “We’ll get back out there Wednesday hopefully and be ready to work. One thing I’ve learned is teams have been through this intense protocol and through some of these tough challenges and they’ve won, so it comes down to what you do on Sunday, so we’ll get ourselves ready for Sunday.”
Our question of the night: do you think the NFL season will end early?
