CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Detectives say 19-year-old Destinee Little and three male juveniles are under arrest for armed robbery after a Facebook Marketplace exchange backfired in east Charlotte.

Police say Destinee Little is charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon and two counts of conspiracy to commit robbery. All three minors are charged with robbery and conspiracy to commit robbery, and one minor is charged with possession of a stolen firearm, according to a news release.

Officers say on December 27th around 10:45 p.m. a victim called 9-1-1 to report an armed robbery after he attempted to purchase an item from Facebook Marketplace and instead the suspects held him at gunpoint and took his belongings.

The victim met the suspects on Parkland Circle when he was robbed and the suspects fled on foot, according to a news release.

Detectives say after obtaining information and evidence officers found the suspects at the same location on December 28th attempting to complete another transaction, and as officers tried to arrest them, the suspects once again fled on foot.

Officers pursued the suspects when they got into a 4-door Toyota and all four suspects were apprehended shortly after during a traffic stop, according to a news release.

Detectives say a resident of the apartment complex told officers they saw one of the suspects drop a gun as he was running.

Police say the investigation remains active, and ask anyone with more information to call 9-1-1 or leave a tip anonymously with Crime Stoppers at 704-334-1600.
