STATESVILLE, NC — Police say a Statesville man is being charged with sexually assaulting a minor.
Sheriff’s say a report was filed in reference to a teenager under the age of 16 being sexually assaulted by a family friend.
After interviews with the victim and other witnesses authorities arrested and charged, Michael Bennett, 50, with 8 counts of statutory rape of a child and four counts of indecent liberties with a child.
