LINCOLNTON, N.C.– Lincoln County authorities have arrested 71-year-old Alvis Clatis Coon, who they say was selling prescription drugs in the Lincoln County area.
Coon, 71, of Bessemer City was introduced to an undercover Lincoln County Sheriff’s officer who learned that Coon had bringing large amounts of pills into the county.
Investigators set up a buy-bust operation and seized approximately 200 Hydrocodone, $2,000 in cash, and a 2007 Kia Optima.
Coon was charged with Trafficking in Opiates by Transportation, Sell, and Possession and Maintaining a Vehicle for a Controlled Substance. He was processed by the Lincoln County Detention Center and released on a $100, 000 bond.
