LAS VEGAS (AP) β A man accused of firing a gun at the head of a Thunder From Down Under performer during a backstage robbery attempt on the Las Vegas Strip has been identified as a 24-year-old Las Vegas man with a history of minor scrapes with the law.
Joey Kadmiri was arrested late Tuesday at the Excalibur hotel-casino. He was booked into the Clark County jail as “John Doe” until police said Thursday that they figured out his identity.
Witnesses told police Kadmiri was wearing costume clothing and trying to take a suitcase with show props and clothes when he ended up in a behind-the-scenes fight with members of the Australia-based men’s dance revue.
Kadmiri is due for a court appearance Friday on felony attempted murder, armed robbery, burglary and weapon charges.
