Mecklenburg County Health Officials Provide A COVID-19 Update

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Public Health Director Gibbie Harris and other health officials provided a COVID-19 update for Mecklenburg County on Wednesday.

Harris says although coronavirus positivity rates have dropped in the county, we as a community still have a lot of work to do to get the pandemic under control.

Harris says starting on February 24th the county will start focusing on vaccinating K-12th grade teachers and others that work with children, with the rest of Group 3 being able to receive the vaccine starting March 10th.
