LINCOLNTON, N.C. — Lincoln County Detectives say Scott Zinn Jr., 40, of Denver, North Carolina is under arrest for child sexual assault charges.
Detectives say on January 13th they received a report of a sexual assault of a child, and the child, who is related to the suspect, disclosed the alleged sexual assaults in an interview at the Lincoln County Child Advocacy Center.
Zinn is charged with one felony count each of statutory rape of a child, statutory sexual offense, indecent liberties with a child, and child abuse involving a sexual act, according to a news release.

Detectives say Zinn was arrested on February 10th and is being held at Harven A. Crouse Detention Center under a $40,000 bond.
Police say Zinn is scheduled to make his first appearance in Lincoln County District Court on February 11th.
