Temperatures struggle to reach 40 degrees both Friday and Saturday
Winter Weather Advisory for the High Country from midnight tonight until noon Friday as patchy freezing drizzle moves through Thursday evening – Friday morning. This freezing rain/drizzle could cause travel difficulties Friday morning for areas north of I-40.
Thursday was the start of a very wet, dreary, and unsettled weather pattern. A stalled front to our south will bring scattered to numerous showers through the evening, Friday, and weekend ahead. Thursday evening – expect scattered to numerous showers with isolated heavy downpours. Rain should let up early Friday morning, but with colder air building in freezing rain could be an issue for some north of I-40. Another round of rain will roll across the WCCB area late Friday through Saturday.Β Temperatures will struggle to reach 40 both Friday and Saturday with lows bottoming out in the 30s. Valentines Day looks a little better with highs in the mid to upper 40s and scattered showers.
