Rain, Freezing Rain & More Rain

Slick sidewalks, bridges and overpasses are possible.

Winter Weather Advisory in effect until 12 PM Sunday across the High Country, Foothills and northern Piedmont as freezing rain/freezing drizzle could result is slick roads.

The cold air decided to join the rainy trend – what a gross pattern to be stuck in. Rain increases this evening through the day on Saturday. Late evening rain tonight into early Saturday morning could transition to freezing rain across the Mountains, Foothills and northern Piedmont. This could result in slick sidewalks, bridges and overpasses. Patchy fog will likely be in play as well so take it easy on the roads as visibility will likely be reduced. Sunday does not look to be as wet or as cold as Saturday, but still not ideal. Expect scattered showers with highs in the mid 40s. This dreary trend looks to stick around for the better part of 7-10 days.

Tonight: Increasing showers late. Patchy dense fog. Low: 36Β°.

Saturday: Very wet day. Icy AM mix around and north of I-40. High: 40.

Sunday: Scattered showers. High:45.

Stay dry and warm. Happy Friday!
