Deputies say on February 15th they were dispatched to a home on Barsdale Lane in Lincolnton, N.C., after a woman ran to a house on the same street and asked those inside to call 9-1-1 and report she was being held against her will.

Detectives say the victim told them she had gone to the home of Rinck on Saturday night, and while together, they drove around town as he began drinking alcohol and started to assault her.

The victim says when they returned to the house, Rinck threatened her with a knife and refused to let her leave.

Detectives say Rinck continued to assault her throughout the weekend, when a sexual assault occurred, and these attacks left the victim with two black eyes and small cuts all over her body.

On Monday, February 15th, deputies say the victim was able to escape the home to a neighbor’s house on Barsdale Lane where law enforcement was called.

Investigators say Rinck is charged with first degree kidnapping, first degree sex offense, felony restraint, assault of a female, and assault with a deadly weapon, and is being held at the Harven A. Crouse Detention Center under a $60,000 bond.
