CATS Buses Feature Artwork Made By Seniors In Charlotte

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Charlotte Area Transit System officials say they invited Charlotte-area seniors to create colorful artwork in the spirit of Valentine’s Day to be displayed on CATS buses through the month of February.

Officials say selected designs were made into posters and put on 60 different CATS buses across the transit system in CATS first-ever Senior Sweethearts Art Collection.

“Many of Charlotte’s Senior Citizens haven’t been riding transit due to COVID-19,” said CATS CEO John Lewis. “We look forward to the day that they’ll be riding CATS again. Until then, their art creations will symbolize their significant presence in our community.”

CATS officials say anyone in the community can respond back to the senior citizens who submitted artwork by sending cards or messages to the following address;
