Williams is also ordered to serve five years under supervised release after serving his prison sentence, according to a news release.

Investigators say on June 2nd, 2019 around 2:45 p.m. Williams and a co-conspirator robbed a victim at gunpoint in the parking lot of an apartment complex in Charlotte.

Detectives say Williams pointed his gun at the victim and demanded they hand over their keys, phone, and wallet before telling the victim to lay on the sidewalk or he would shoot them.

Williams and his co-conspirator then fled the scene in the victim’s Jeep Grand Cherokee before crashing the stolen vehicle shortly after, and were both taken into police custody, according to a news release.

Detectives say in March of 2020 Williams plead guilty to carjacking and using a firearm to further a violent crime.

According to court records, Williams was convicted of multiple counts of breaking and entering as well as other felony convictions in Mecklenburg County between 2014 and 2016.

Detectives say Williams admitted to being a member of the United Blood Nation or “Bloods” gang during his incarceration for these crimes in 2017.

Police say Williams is currently in custody waiting to be transferred to his designated federal facility.
