MONROE, N.C. – After days of searching, the body of a missing Union County teen has been found and recovered.
18-year-old Malique Streater was recovered by Monroe Fire Personnel Saturday morning. The body was brought to shore where EMS pronounced Streater dead at 9:03 a.m. Streater was transported to CMC Union by the direction of the on-call medical examiner.
Streater was fishing with his grandfather when he fell out of the boat into the water. Streater’s family said he never resurfaced. Streater’s family said that he did have a history of seizures.
