GASTON COUNTY, N.C. — A 38-year-old man has been charged with indecent liberties with a child and sexual battery following an investigation, according to Gaston County Police.
According to police, Rusty Allen Perrigo Jr, of Gastonia, has been charged with one felony count of indecent liberties with a child and one misdemeanor count of sexual battery.
The charges are a result of an investigation that was initiated after a report was made to the police by the victim’s mother after the victim disclosed the abuse.
Perrigo is currently in custody at the Gaston County Jail under a $50,000 bond.
