HICKORY, N.C. — Hickory Police say they are investigating a stabbing where allegedly a son stabbed his father after an altercation on Thursday sending him to Catawba Valley Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.
Police say they were notified by a witness that Deon Thompson, 37, was stabbed by his son, Landon Thompson, 18, at a Quality Suites hotel on Avenue Drive SE in Hickory.
Officers say they located Landon Thompson after the stabbing on hotel property and he is cooperating with police.
The investigation into this case remains active and ongoing.
