Currently Calm, Watching Wednesday

After a gradual warming trend through Wednesday, a strong cold front could bring freezing temperatures to the Carolinas to kick off April.

After strong storms rolled through the WCCB Charlotte viewing area this weekend, a relaxing reprieve has arrived in the form of gorgeous conditions across the board. High pressure to our east will keep things sunny and dry for now, so enjoy the good times while they last. A strong cold front arrives as soon as Wednesday, bringing the chance for the return of strong storms and drastically colder temperatures behind it. It may seem like a bad April Fools’ joke, but we’ll be waking up to freezing temperatures both Friday and Saturday. Outside of Wednesday’s showers and storms, sunny skies largely prevail for much of the week ahead. Enjoy!
