CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Detectives with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department say a death investigation is underway in east Charlotte.
Officers with the CMPD were called to Beckenham Drive near Albemarle Road just before 8am on April 5th after receiving reports of a woman needing medical attention.Β The woman was pronounced dead on the scene by first responders, according to a news release.
CMPD’s Homicide Unit is conducting the investigation which is standard procedure for any sudden or unexpected deaths, per police.
The woman’s name has not been released at this time.Β CMPD has not released any suspect information.Β However, the investigation is active and ongoing, according to a news release.
