Carolina Panthers Trade Three Draft Picks For QB Sam Darnold

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The Carolina Panthers announce that former No. 3 overall pick Sam Darnold will be joining the Panthers in exchange for three draft picks.

The quarterback was selected third overall by the New York Jets in the 2018 Draft.  In 2020, he played in 12 games, threw for 2,208 yards and nine touchdowns, according to Pro Football Reference.
