CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Police charge a second suspect in the ongoing investigation of the murders of Jonathan Alvarado, Jusmar Isiah Gonzaga-Garcia and former ‘America’s Top Model’ contestant, Mirjana Puhar.
Thursday evening, police say David Ezequel Lopez voluntarily walked into police headquarters to sit down with detectives. After conducting an interview, police charged Lopez with three counts of first-degree murder. He is now in the Mecklenburg County Jail.
Emmanuel Rangel is the other suspect in the case and was also charged with the homicides.
The triple homicide took place last month on Norris Avenue and CMPD officials believe it was drug-related.
