Ah, the sweatpants saga. Who knew that baggy bottoms could be such a heated topic of debate? After Eva Mendes said that sweatpants are the “number one cause of divorce in America”, people have been slamming them ever since. Are you pro or con sweatpants? Do they really cause divorce? Does Eva really never wear them?
Ryan Gosling is defending his partner’s sweatpants joke on Twitter, saying, “Wearing them now. That’s right, tweeting in sweatpants. Rats! Said too much. You win again, Twitter.”
Eva Mendes is sweating the sweatpants comment. She too is taking to social media, but to apologize for the joke on Instagram. Under a photo of a pair of sweatpants, she says, “Dear favorite pair of sweatpants. I was just kidding when I said you’re the #1 cause of divorce. Everyone knows that orange crocs are the #1 cause of divorce. Either way it was a bad joke and feel terrible if you or anyone thought I was serious.”
So do you think Eva Mendes should have apologized? Or is everyone making too much out of nothing?
