Record-Breaking Lows
It’s a freezing start across the area with temps in the 20s and 30s. Charlotte is very close to breaking a record low for today that was set back in 1974 at 33 degrees. Winds will pick back up this afternoon with gusts 20-30 mph out of the west. Unseasonable cool with highs barely scraping into the low to mid-60s. Frost advisory goes into effect tonight as temps fall back into the mid 30s and winds die back down. Temps will warm into the upper 60s Friday.
Weekend Rain
Saturday will bring our best shot of rain all month. We’re just under 1/2″ of rain total for the month, putting us more than 2″ below average for April. Rain could be heavy at times, especially late in the afternoon. Drying out Sunday with highs reaching the low 70s.
Warming Up Next Week
