CHARLOTTE, NC – An East Charlotte home shot into for the 2nd time in four months. This time, a woman living inside was hit by a bullet. Police are trying to figure out who pulled the trigger and why this home is a target.
Police responded to a drive-by shooting on Timbertop Lane off Harrisburg Road around 10:30 Saturday. Investigators haven’t released the victim’s name but we’re told she was shot in the foot and is expected to recover.
A lieutenant on scene told WCCB several people were injured after another shooting there in December. Three people were arrested.
And in July 2012, 18-year-old Kevin Washington was shot and killed at a party down the street.
A neighbor who didn’t want to show his face on camera said that murder really shook people up here.
“They were scared and really shocked. That was the first thing that really rocked this community right here and it opened their eyes. And this just happened and is just adding on,” he says.
