Another Summer-Like Day Ahead of Cold Front

Warming back to the mid to upper 80s across the Piedmont ahead of Friday cold front

Another very mild overnight with low temperatures bottoming out in the mid 60s across the Piedmont! An area of high pressure dominates our skies through midweek with temperatures rising into the mid to upper 80s once again on Thursday. Clouds increase late Thursday into Friday ahead of our next weather system – a cold front marching across the area. This front will increase winds with gusts up to 30 mph possible on Thursday. The cold front appears to cross our area on the weaker side and will likely not have much moisture with it. Rain coverage will be isolated Thursday night and Friday. We will “cool down” on Friday and Saturday in wake of the cold front – expect highs on Friday in the upper 70s near 80, with mid 70s on Saturday. We stay dry through the weekend.

Tonight: Partly cloudy. Low: 65. Wind: S/SW 10-20.

Thursday: Mostly sunny & windy. Isolated PM Shower. High: 87. Wind: SW: 10-20 G: 30.

Friday: Isolated AM Shower. Mix of sun & clouds. High: 78. Wind: W/NW 10-20.

Have a wonderful week!
