‘Round Town with Rising: Mountain Island

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Get out, see the sights, ride ‘Round Town with Rising!  Each Tuesday and Thursday we scope out a surprise spot around our city.  The latest locale: Mountain Island!

We’re starting the day at Shuffletown Park – where you can find volleyball courts, baseball fields – and a huge, 4 acre dog park.

And we’re closing out our short day on the appropriately named Mountain Island Lake. You can take out the boat, kayak, canoe – whatever floats you. There’s even a sandbar you can pull up on.
