SHANGHAI (AP) β Alexander Levy birdied his opening three holes and kept right on going to a 9-under 63 and a four-shot lead in the BMW Masters.
On a day of extraordinary scoring at Lake Malaren, no one could keep pace with the Frenchman.
Levy had a big smile on another damp, overcast day as he piled up birdies, including a 40-foot putt down a steep ridge that curled into the left side of the cup on the sixth hole, and an approach that plopped down a foot from the cup on No. 10.
Jamie Donaldson shot a 62 and barely made up any ground. He was four shots behind.
Levy was at 22-under 194 as he goes after his third title on the year on the European Tour.
