One of the most touching things trending on the Internet this week: the dad who’s video of dancing with his wheel-chair bound daughter is one of the top clips on YouTube. He’s exhibiting qualities that make you like him.
The little girl is McKenzie Carey, who has a disease that affects her muscles and organs, meaning she can’t move very well. But that didn’t stop her dad, Mike, from taking her to the Summer Pageant Fest near Richmond, Virginia. They practiced for months, and it paid off. Dad: just a normal guy, with an extraordinary heart, an attitude, and a conviction that makes him someone compelling.
The other dad who’s blowin’ up on the Internet now is for a more basic instinct kind of reason: Jeremy Meeks and his amazing mug shot. We’re not comparing them to each other… just the facts that they’re both men, and both blowin’ up the web for different reasons. Many people commenting on his pictures said knowing that #SexyFelon is a father and husband who says he’s turned his life around makes him that much more attractive.
But the thing that people notice first with Jeremy is his looks; what grabs people about Mike: his heart. Both very attractive qualities. And yet, there are a multitude of qualities people look for in others. In this case, we’re talking about men.
And so our Man on the Edge, Robert Wilder, hit the streets to ask: what makes a man attractive?
