Detectives Ask For Public’s Help Locating Missing Lincoln County Woman

LINCOLNTON, N.C. — Lincoln County Sheriff’s detectives say they are asking for the public’s assistance in finding a woman who went missing in Lincolnton, N.C. on Wednesday.

Detectives say 36-year-old Laura Kathryn Smith was reported missing on May 12th, after she was last seen leaving a home on West Highview Lane to go to an appointment and never returned.

Authorities describe Smith as a White woman, 5 feet 3 inches tall, and 105 pounds with dirty blonde colored hair and brown eyes.

Detectives say Smith may be in the company of a man named George Christian Settlemyre of Catawba County.
