Cloudy Skies Tuesday, Heating Up Late Week
AM Headlines:
- Mild Start
- Isolated Shower Chances
- The 90s by the weekend
Discussion:
Partly cloudy and mild start to our Tuesday with temps in the 50s and low 60s across the region. Highs today will rise into the upper 70s under mostly cloudy skies. A few isolated showers for the mountains and foothills will be possible, otherwise expect a dry stretch with minimal rain chances through the week. Temps will climb as high pressure builds in through the end of the week. This stagnant pattern will keep rain chances at bay and allow temps to reach the upper 80s by the end of the week and the low 90s by the weekend. This will be the first time Charlotte has seen 90 since September 11, 2020. It will remain sunny and hot through the weekend with highs 10+ degrees above average, reaching the mid-90s by early next week.
