Developing Heatwave is Upon Us
Temperatures on the rise through the week and into the weekend
Tap here for a Tropical Update!
Overnight lows for the remainder of the week will be mild and only bottom out in the upper 50s to low 60s. Overnight tonight expect mostly clear skies.
The developing heatwave is still on the way so enjoy these closer to average or “normal” temperatures before they are a thing of the past! Our average first 90Β° day is May 20th so this heat isΒ right on schedule, but temperatures will still be well above-average. Temperatures will reach 90Β° in some neighborhoods on Friday and only rise through the weekend and into nextΒ week. This hot pattern is also going to be a dry one as well so be sure to water your gardens and lawn. We will have an updatedΒ drought monitor on Thursday – I have a feeling more of the WCCB area will be put in Abnormally Dry or Moderate Drought conditions. This has been the driest spring since 2016.
Tonight: Mostly clear. Low: 58. Wind: E/SE 5-10.
Thursday: Mostly sunny. High: 86. Wind: E/SE 5-10.
Friday: Sunny skies. High: 88. Wind: E/NE 5-10.
Have a great week!
Kaitlin
