UNION COUNTY, NC — The fallout continues in the Wanda Sue Larson investigation. Β WCCB has learned that Larson’s boss at the Union County Department of Social Services has been demoted.
Kevin Williams was placed on investigatory suspension in February. Β In late May he was demoted from Social Work Program Manger to Social Worker. Β He also took a pay cut of more than $13,000.
Larson, a Social Work Supervisor, was fired in November after a boy in her care was found chained to a porch with a dead chicken tied to his neck.
She remains in jail on multiple child abuse charges.
