
ROCKΒ HILL, S.C. — Police have arrested 25-year-old Michael Mobley after receiving a call regarding a suspicious person watching little girls at the bus stop in Rock Hill.
Officers responded to reports of a suspicious black male, wearing black clothing and a black hat, watching little girls at the school bus stop from the bushes near the 300 block of Chestnut Street in Rock Hill. The officers located Mr. Mobley and questioned him about his activity in the area. Officers say Mr. Mobley attempted to flee and, after a brief struggle, they discovered that he had a firearm in his possession.
According to records,the firearm was reported stolen from the Rock Hill Police Department.Β AΒ further search revealed that Mr. Mobley also had a pair of latex gloves, three condoms, a yellow rope, a tube of KYΒ Jelly, a box cutter, a black beanie, and a cell phone.
Mobley’s criminal history prohibited him from carrying a firearm. HeΒ was arrested and charged with Possession ofΒ a Stolen Pistol, Carrying a Pistol Unlawfully, Possession of a Pistol by Person Prohibited, Possession of a Pistol with Serial Number Removed or Obliterated, and Resisting Arrest.
