Are You Dealing With Re-Entry Anxiety?

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – More states are easing COVID restrictions this Memorial Day Holiday, and some people may be feeling overstimulated and not ready for the transition to a new normal. Doctors and experts call it “re-entry anxiety.” Crowded spaces and eased restrictions are forcing us to adapt, again, to large social gatherings, mask-less conversations and a faster pace of life.

Doctors say for some people, it may seem intimidating or even fearful. Internal medicine Dr. Sunitha Posina says, “At the same time, it’s also important to recognize that social interaction is very, very important and crucial for a good mental and physical health.”

Experts also say it may be helpful to start going out with a friend or family member and go at your own pace.

Our question of the night: are you dealing with re-entry anxiety?
