Edge: U.S. Navy Denies Student Athlete A Chance To Go Into The NFL

The U.S. Navy has denied recent graduate Cameron Kinley a waiver that would have delayed his commission and allowed the cornerback and a chance to compete for a spot with the Super Bowl winning Buccaneers. Cameron Kinley was recruited to play for the Navy football program as a high-schooler in Tennessee, under the expectation he could potentially pursue a professional alongside his military one. Kinley says the navy’s decision is heartbreaking.
