CLEVELAND (AP) β€” The undefeated Kentucky Wildcats take their 36-0 mark into tonight’s Midwest Regional semifinal against coach Bob Huggins’ 25-9 West Virginia Mountaineers. That game will be preceded by the Wichita State-Notre Dame Midwest semifinal in Cleveland.

LOS ANGELES (AP) β€” In the West Regional first semifinal, top-seeded Wisconsin plays No. 4 seed North Carolina in tonight’s first game. That game will be followed by second-seeded Arizona taking on No. 6 seed Xavier out of the Big East.

NORFOLK, Va. (AP) β€” Trey Freeman scored 25 points and banked in a running 3-pointer at the buzzer last night to lift Old Dominion to a 72-69 victory over Murray State in the NIT quarterfinals. The win puts the Monarchs into next week’s semifinals at Madison Square Garden against Stanford. Temple, which defeated Louisiana Tech 77-59 last night, plays Miami in next Tuesday’s other semifinal.

BOSTON (AP)β€” Goran Dragic (GOHR’-uhn DRAH’-gitch) had 22 points and seven assists, and the Miami Heat beat the Boston Celtics 93-86. Miami has won four of six and is seventh in the Eastern Conference playoff race. The Heat are two games ahead of Boston and Indiana, which are tied for the final playoff spot.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) __ Brook Lopez had 34 points and 10 rebounds and the Brooklyn Nets handed the slumping Charlotte Hornets their fifth loss in their last six games, 91-88. The 7-foot center has scored at least 26 points in each of his last four games. Charlotte and Brooklyn are both a half-game out of the final playoff spot in the East.
