Dry air will continue to filter into the region today. This will keep conditions pleasant over the next few days. Take that evening walk, or enjoy eating dinner on the patio because these days become far and few between during the summer months. Temps will reach the mid-80s today and tomorrow with overnight lows falling into the upper 50s to low 60s, about 6-10 degrees below average. Heat returns this weekend with highs reaching the low 90s Friday.
Invest 92-L and Early Week Storms
Tropical moisture from the Gulf will feed into the area this weekend courtesy of Invest 92-L. This low will likely develop into something tropical late this week and reach the southern Gulf states by Friday. Regardless of development, it will likely bring heavy rain to the south and southeast. A cold front from the midwest will bring even greater rain and storm chances early next week.
