East Charlotte Murder Suspect Arrested

CHARLOTTE, NC — CMPD took a suspect in an east Charlotte murder into custody late Thursday night.

Police arrested 17-year-old Jawan Smith on East Independence Boulevard.  He’s accused of killing William Allen, III back in January.  Allen was shot at an apartment complex on Wallace Road January 20.
