MATTHEWS, N.C. — Detectives with the Matthews Police Department are attempting to identify two suspects who allegedly stole over $8,900 worth of retail merchandise.
Police say the two pictured suspects below are believed to be a part of a larger organized retail theft ring that has several pending cases throughout North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, and Maryland.
Authorities describe the first suspect as a Black woman, 5 feet 5 inches, 180 pounds, with a heavy build. The second suspect in this case is described as a Black woman, 5 feet 5 inches, 120 pounds, with a slim build.
Detectives say the two suspects entered three different stores at three separate times in Matthews, N.C. and stole merchandise by concealing it and leaving before paying each time.
Police say the two suspects stole $4,081 from Ulta on April 30th, $3,242 from Costco on May 20th, and $1,600 from Costco again on June 6th, all located on Matthews Township Parkway.
