CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The Rock Hill Police Officers involved in the controversial arrest of Ricky Price were named during his preliminary hearing on Friday at the Moss Justice Center.
Officers at the scene of the arrest include Sergeant Shaun Watson, Officer Matthew Palmer, Officer Jonathan Moreno, and Officer Jonathan Soto, according to public record.
Police say Sergeant Shaun Watson and Officer Jonathan Moreno are currently on administrative leave after the viral video of the Ricky Price arrest caused public outrage and several days of protests in Rock Hill.
The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) and Rock Hill Police Department are each reviewing details of the arrest.
