CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Charlotte-Mecklenburg detectives are investigating a homicide in southeast Charlotte after a person was fatally shot on Friday.
Officers responded to the shooting at an apartment complex on Creekridge Road at 6:25 p.m. to find a victim with an apparent gunshot wound.
Police say the victim was taken to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries and has since died.
The investigation into this case is active and ongoing.
