CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Police have shut down a popular road in east Charlotte that will cause major traffic issues Friday and possibly Saturday.
A tractor trailer truck knocked down power lines at the intersection of East Sugar Creek Road and The Plaza. This is along the detour for the Eastway bridge closure.
Officials say the intersection will be closed through rush hour Friday and possibly into Saturday.
