Concord Fire Truck Involved In Crash While Responding To Call
CONCORD, N.C. — Four Concord firefighters and a truck driver were injured in a wreck involving a Concord fire truck Friday afternoon, according to authorities.
Officials say firefighters from the Concord Fire Department were responding to a call when their fire truck collided with a tractor trailer truck on Weddington Road at Waterway Drive.
The road was closed for approximately an hour while crews investigated the accident. All five people taken to area hospitals for treatment reportedly have non-life threatening injuries, according to a news release.
As of 8pm, all of the firefighters have been released from the hospital, according to a news release.
