Boyfriend Of Missing Teacher Bianca Tanner Arrested Near Chicago By U.S. Marshals

CHICAGO, I.L. — Police say the boyfriend of missing teacher Bianca Tanner has been taken into custody near Chicago.  

U.S. Marshals took Angelo Smith into custody in Homewood, Illinois, just south of Chicago, around 3 p.m. Thursday.  He has an outstanding warrant in Charlotte for contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile.  Police have not said if the charge is related to the disappearance of Tanner. 

CMPD released the following statement, “The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department has detectives in Chicago who are currently en-route to meet with the U.S. Marshal’s to physically put eyes on the suspect to confirm that he is indeed Angelo Grayson Smith Jr.  Once that has been established we will confirm the information for you all.”
