Β CHARLOTTE, N.C.– Β The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police have indentified the victim of a shooting in Northwest Charlotte Friday night. Officials say 28-year-old Samil Bates died as a result of a gun shot wound.Β
CMPD officials say that they were called to the 3700 block of Pauline Lane around 9:30 Friday night.Β Upon arrival, they found Bates lying in the driveway suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Β He was transported to Carolinas Medical Center where he was pronounced deceased.Β
While officers were on scene, they learned that two others were injured during the incident. Β Both of the them were transported by a friend to Carolinas Medical Center, one with a non-life threatening gunshot wound and the second with a leg injury.Β
Police say that an argument occurred in the home which led to the shooting. Β All involved in the incident know one another and this was not a random act of violence.Β Β
