As of Monday evening, an area of low pressure located over the far eastern Atlantic Ocean has a low chance of tropical formation over the next 5 days.
This low pressure is located a few hundred miles south of the Cabo Verde Islands. While some gradual development is possible, it will eventually move northward over cooler waters which will be unfavorable for further development.
The next name on the 2021 Atlantic Hurricane Season list is Fred.
We will watch this and all things tropical closely as we inch toward peak season which is a little over one month away.
