Getting Kids In Back-To-School Mode
CHARLOTTE, N.C.– This school year will be a lot different. In-person learning is returning. Some students may have a hard time adjusting to being back inside the classroom. But there are some things parents and children can do to make the transition back into the classroom a smooth one.
The first thing kids should know is how important it is to ask questions. Whether the questions are big or small. Students who are attending brand new schools will find that asking questions will help them adjust much easier.
It is also important for students to participate in class. Children learn differently and after a year of learning from home, some children feel like they are behind. Actively participating in the classroom will help them catch up with other students.
And finally, we know how hectic things can be in the mornings before school. That’s why it’s helpful to make a morning checklist. Now that kids are returning to in-person learning, they will need to carry more items to school with them.
Having a list that can be checked off will help make sure everyone has everything they need for the school day.
